As a member, you will:
● Advocate alongside people who share your vision for inclusion and justice.
● Strengthen the collective voice of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so policies and communities reflect real lived experiences.
● Connect with peers, leaders, and allies who are committed to meaningful change.
Members are expected to:
● Support the mission, vision, and purpose of Self Advocates of Michigan with integrity and commitment.
● Champion policies and practices that reflect SAM values and advance disability justice.
● Contribute to SAM efforts by sharing insight, offering support, and helping the organization reach its goals.
● Participate in SAM events and activities whenever possible, building relationships and staying engaged in the work.
