Tonnieo is a Board member of the Self Advocates of Michigan and the Chair of the Membership Committee. He is a certified Peer Mentor through the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council. I am also Peer Educator for Human Sexuality with the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council. He is a Capella Graduate Student working on his Masters Degree in Human Services. He is the 2012 Self-Advocate of the Year Awardee Recipient from The Arc Detroit. He is also the recipient the “Most Outstanding Achievement” from Psychgenics, Inc. Working with the Self-Advocates of Michigan allows him “to help others achieve their goals and realize they have rights like any other individual.”
