This painting depicts a happy scene of what you may find in a city park.
Cordell describes himself as a “jack of all trades of creativity.” He stated that this piece, “City Park” is inspired by the views he sees walking around downtown in Kalamazoo with the artWorks program. Cordell stated he wanted to show all of the fun things he imagines in his community and in a park in the city. Cordell is a member of MRC artworks, a program for disabled adults that helps them to grow and make income through their artwork.
