Disability Network Mid-Michigan Peer Group

This custom puzzle project was created by a group of people with varying disabilities who participate in Disability Network Mid-Michigans Peer Group. They came up with power words like “hope” “kindness” “love” and “inclusion” to include in the piece. Over the course of the winter, the puzzle pieces were available to decorate how they wished, not knowing what the adjoining piece would look like, but knowing the full picture would complete a powerful message of advocacy. With a sense of pride and ownership, each wrote their name on the back of their piece. It has been pieced together and mounted and will be framed for display.
