Just One Pill
Digital canvas – 2048 x 1536
Various prescribed meds formed in the shape of a person
My name is Paige, I am a disabled artist with PTSD, major depression disorder, agoraphobia, bipolar disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder.
This canvas pictures various medications I take to help me. Sometimes, because my memory is terrible, I forget to take them consistently. It’s very difficult. Sometimes I don’t want to take my meds, because I want to be normal. But then I realize I am normal.
With having a disability, I believe that we are proven to be one of the most resilient communities ever. Despite the setbacks we have, regardless of it being the lack of resources given to us by the government, or because our disability itself, we will always find a way to be okay. Because we are powerful.
